Services
Our Services
What we build, what we don't, and how to figure out if we're a fit for your project.
What services does ZAPTA offer?
We offer five main service categories: Product Engineering (custom software, web and mobile apps, software modernization, QA), Artificial Intelligence (AI agents, generative AI, conversational AI, AI MVPs, predictive analytics, AI advisory), Innovation Advisory (discovery workshops, market research, UI/UX design, product branding, feasibility studies), Automation Intelligence (workflow optimization, no-code integrations, ERP/CRM automation, data solutions, analytics), and Cloud Engineering (DevOps, cloud strategy, migration, security, managed services).
Does ZAPTA build custom software from scratch?
Yes. Custom software development is one of our core services. We build full-stack web applications, SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and internal tools tailored to each client’s specific business logic — using modern stacks like Next.js, React, Node.js, Python, Django, .NET, and others depending on the use case.
Do ZAPTA build AI products?
Yes. We build production-ready AI products of every kind — autonomous AI agents, multi-agent systems, LLM-powered SaaS, conversational AI (chatbots and voice), generative AI for image/video/text, RAG systems, AI copilots, and custom AI integrations into existing products.
Can ZAPTA ship an MVP fast?
Yes. AI MVPs and software MVPs typically ship in 4 to 8 weeks from kickoff. We use a fixed-scope, fixed-timeline approach — discovery in week 1, design and engineering in weeks 2 to 6, and deployment plus iteration in weeks 7 and 8. Most MVPs include a working product, evaluation suite, and observability from day one.
Do ZAPTA redesign or modernize legacy systems?
Yes. Software modernization is a frequent engagement type. We rebuild, re-platform, and re-engineer legacy applications — moving them to cloud-native stacks, adding AI capabilities, improving performance and security, and preparing them for the next decade of growth. Most modernizations run 8 to 24 weeks depending on complexity.
Does ZAPTA offer mobile app development?
Yes. We build native iOS apps (Swift / SwiftUI), native Android apps (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose), and cross-platform apps (React Native, Flutter). Every mobile engagement includes design, development, automated and real-device QA, App Store and Play Store submission, and post-launch support.
Do ZAPTA offer cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure services?
Yes. Our cloud engineering practice covers AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure — including cloud strategy and architecture, migration from on-prem or other providers, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, security and compliance, and 24/7 managed services.
Can ZAPTA embed senior engineers in our team (staff augmentation)?
Yes. Dedicated staff augmentation is one of our four standard engagement models. We embed senior engineers, designers, AI specialists, and QA engineers directly into your team — time-zone aligned, working in your tools, attending your standups.
AI Development
AI Development & Agents
Specifics about AI projects — from PoCs to production agents to compliance-grade deployments.
Is ZAPTA an AI-first company?
Yes. ZAPTA is built with a native AI mindset — we leverage AI-powered tools and technologies across every part of our business, and the products we build are designed with AI capabilities at the core, not bolted on after the fact. From AI-assisted coding to AI-powered automation in our internal operations, AI is part of how we deliver — which is why our turnaround times and quality benchmarks consistently outpace traditional development shops.
What's the difference between an AI MVP, a chatbot, and an agent?
An AI MVP is a production-ready AI product shipped in 4 to 8 weeks for early users or investors. A chatbot is a conversational interface that answers questions. An agent is a more advanced system that plans tasks, calls tools, reads documents, and completes multi-step work autonomously. We build all three, often combined into a single platform.
Which AI models and frameworks do you use?
We work with frontier foundation models — OpenAI GPT-4o, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini — plus open-source models where the use case demands it. For agent orchestration we use LangGraph, CrewAI, and LangChain. For RAG we use LlamaIndex, Pinecone, and pgvector. For voice we use Whisper and ElevenLabs. Tool choice is driven by the use case, not vendor bias.
Can you build voice AI that doesn't sound robotic?
Yes. Modern voice AI on Whisper, ElevenLabs, and streaming LLMs sounds genuinely human at sub-second latency. We tune voice models for tone, pacing, and brand fit — far beyond the awkward TTS most legacy IVR systems still use.
Can you support AI in regulated industries?
Yes. We build AI with the governance, audit logging, human-in-the-loop gates, and data-handling controls required for regulated use — aligned with NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act risk tiering, ISO/IEC 42001, OWASP LLM Top 10, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
Pricing & Cost
Pricing and Cost
Honest answers about how we price projects, what drives cost, and what you can expect to invest.
Does ZAPTA offer custom pricing?
Yes — every engagement is priced individually based on your specific requirements, scope, and budget. We follow a custom pricing model designed to optimize plans that align with your budget while still helping you go to market with a top-class product in the minimum possible time. There are no rigid packages — just transparent, tailored quotes built around your goals.
How much does custom software development cost?
Cost depends on scope, complexity, integrations, timeline, and engagement model. Small focused projects (such as internal tools or basic web apps) typically start in the low five figures. Mid-sized SaaS and enterprise projects fall in the mid-five to low-six figures. Large multi-quarter platforms and modernizations are scoped individually. We provide a detailed, transparent quote within 24 to 48 hours of a discovery call.
How much does an AI MVP cost?
AI MVPs are typically scoped as fixed-cost projects in the mid-five figures, depending on the use case, data complexity, and integrations required. The fixed-cost model means no billing surprises — you know exactly what you’re investing before kickoff.
How much does an AI agent or conversational AI project cost?
AI agents and conversational AI projects vary widely based on the number of integrations, channels (web, mobile, voice, WhatsApp), and orchestration complexity. Single-purpose task agents start in the low-to-mid five figures; multi-agent systems and voice AI with telephony typically fall in the mid-five to low-six figures.
What payment terms do you offer?
Payment terms depend on the engagement model. For fixed-cost projects, we typically split into milestone-based payments (for example, 30% kickoff, 40% mid-project, 30% on delivery). For dedicated team and nearshore engagements, we invoice monthly. We accept bank transfers, credit cards via Stripe, and other standard B2B payment methods.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
No. The first 30-minute discovery call is free, with no commitment and no pressure. You walk away with a clear sense of fit, a high-level approach to your problem, and — if there’s a match — a tailored proposal within 24 to 48 hours.
Do you offer discounts for long-term engagements?
Yes. Dedicated team and long-term retainer engagements are typically priced more favorably per hour than short-term project work. We’re transparent about the pricing model from day one — you’ll always know exactly what each engagement costs.
Can you work within a fixed budget?
Yes. If you have a hard budget cap, tell us upfront. We’ll scope the project to fit — either by adjusting scope, recommending a phased approach, or proposing a different engagement model. We never start work without budget alignment.
Engagement Models
Engagement Models
How we structure work — fixed-cost projects, nearshore teams, dedicated squads, and custom arrangements.
What engagement models does ZAPTA offer?
Four primary engagement models: Fixed Cost Projects (clear scope, clear price, clear timeline), Nearshore Teams (time-zone-aligned senior engineers operating as an extension of your in-house team), Dedicated Teams (a long-term squad focused only on your roadmap), and Custom Quotations (for unique scope, regulated industries, M&A due diligence, or non-standard engagements).
What's the difference between a nearshore and a dedicated team?
Nearshore is time-zone-aligned capacity that scales with your needs — typically 1 to 5 engineers attached to your team for as long as you need them. Dedicated is a longer-term commitment — a full squad including engineers, a tech lead, designers, and QA — focused entirely on your product roadmap, with deep domain knowledge that compounds over time.
Can we start with a small project and scale up?
Yes. Many of our most successful client relationships start with a small fixed-cost project — a discovery workshop, a PoC, or an MVP — and grow into long-term dedicated team engagements once trust and product-market fit are established. There’s no obligation to scale; the choice is always yours.
Do you sign Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)?
Yes. ZAPTA signs Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) for every engagement that requires them. We also commit to providing resources within the time zones agreed for the project — whether that’s US Pacific, Eastern, UK, or any client-specific window — so collaboration feels seamless across geographies. Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are signed when the engagement involves processing personal data on a client’s behalf.
Process & Timelines
Process and Timelines
How we deliver — from first call to launch and beyond.
What does the engagement process look like from start to finish?
Three phases. Phase 1 — Consult and Align: discovery call, requirements workshop, technical and commercial proposal (typically delivered in 24 to 48 hours). Phase 2 — Design and Engineer: kickoff, weekly sprints, working demos every Friday, evaluation and QA throughout. Phase 3 — Deploy and Maintain: launch, observability, post-launch iteration, and optional ongoing retainer for support and feature work.
How quickly can you start a project?
Typically within 1 to 2 weeks of contract signing. For urgent rescue engagements, we can start within 2 to 4 business days. We always confirm a firm start date during scoping so you can plan around it.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on scope. Discovery workshops: 1 to 2 weeks. AI and software MVPs: 4 to 8 weeks. Mid-sized custom software projects: 8 to 16 weeks. Multi-agent systems, voice AI, and complex integrations: 8 to 14 weeks. Software modernization: 8 to 24 weeks. Enterprise platforms: 6+ months. We commit to a fixed launch date during scoping.
How often will I hear from your team?
Daily. You’ll join async standups via Slack or Teams, attend a weekly sprint review (usually Friday), and have a dedicated tech lead or engagement manager as your single point of contact. Most clients describe our communication as more responsive than their in-house teams.
Will I see working software during the project, or only at the end?
Working software, every week. We ship demos every Friday and stage code in your environment continuously. You’ll see real progress weekly — not a black box that opens at the end.
Do you use Agile, Scrum, or another methodology?
Modern Agile, with weekly sprints and lightweight ceremonies. We don’t dogmatically follow textbook Scrum — we adapt the methodology to what works for each engagement. The core principles — working software every week, transparent priorities, fast feedback — are non-negotiable.
What tools do you use for project management?
Whatever you already use — Jira, Linear, Asana, GitHub Projects, Notion, ClickUp. We adapt to your stack rather than asking you to learn ours. For communication, Slack or Microsoft Teams. For code, GitHub or your existing repo host.
Tech Stack
Tech Stack and Delivery
What we build with, where it runs, and what you walk away owning.
What tech stacks does ZAPTA use?
Modern, proven stacks chosen per use case. Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue, TypeScript. Backend: Node.js, Python (FastAPI, Django), .NET, Java. Mobile: Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter. Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Vercel. AI: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, LangGraph, CrewAI, Pinecone. Data: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, Snowflake. We’re stack-agnostic and recommend what fits your goals.
Will I own the code and IP?
Yes. You own 100% of the code, designs, prompts, evaluations, and documentation we produce for you. Everything lives in your GitHub organization (or your repo host of choice) from day one. No vendor lock-in. No hidden licensing. The only exception is third-party libraries and tools we integrate, which retain their own original licenses.
Do you use AI to write code?
Yes — judiciously. Our senior engineers use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and similar) to accelerate routine work and increase output quality. AI augments senior engineering judgment; it never replaces it. Every line of code shipped is reviewed by a senior engineer before it goes to production.
What about security during development?
Security is built in, not bolted on. Our development practices include OWASP-aligned threat modeling, dependency scanning (Snyk, Dependabot), secrets management, automated security tests in CI/CD, and code review with a security lens. For regulated industries, we add penetration testing and compliance-grade audit logging.
Where will my data be stored?
Wherever you want it stored. Most clients deploy to their own cloud accounts (your AWS, GCP, or Azure tenant), which means data never leaves your environment. For clients without an existing cloud account, we can deploy to a ZAPTA-managed environment with strict data-residency controls — for example, EU-only or US-only data residency.
Can you sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?
Yes. We sign Data Processing Agreements compliant with GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA whenever the engagement involves processing personal data on a client’s behalf. DPAs are typically signed as part of the Master Services Agreement at engagement start.
Support
Support and Post-Launch
What happens after launch — and how to make sure your product keeps performing.
Do you provide support after the project launches?
Yes. We offer post-launch support through several models: a free post-launch warranty period for fixed-cost projects (typically 30 to 60 days, covering bug fixes), monthly support retainers for ongoing maintenance and feature work, and 24/7 managed services for production-critical systems. Support details are scoped during the project.
What if we find bugs after launch?
All fixed-cost projects include a post-launch warranty period during which any bugs in the original scope are fixed at no additional cost. After the warranty period, bugs and small fixes are typically covered under a support retainer.
Do you offer 24/7 monitoring and incident response?
Yes. For production-critical systems, our cloud engineering practice provides 24/7 monitoring, on-call incident response, and managed cloud operations — including automated alerting, runbooks, and SLA-backed response times.
Can you take over support of a system that someone else built?
Yes. We frequently take over support, maintenance, and continued development of systems built by other agencies, freelancers, or in-house teams that have moved on. We start with a code audit and architecture review, then propose a stabilization and improvement plan with a clear scope and price.
Will you train my team to maintain the system after handoff?
Yes. Knowledge transfer is included in every project. We deliver written documentation (architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment guides), recorded walkthrough sessions, and live training calls with your team. For larger projects, we offer dedicated handover periods where a member of our team works alongside yours during the transition.

Getting Started
Getting Started
Practical steps to start an engagement with ZAPTA
How do I get started with ZAPTA?
Employee salaries at ZAPTA range from approximately PKR 80,000 to PKR 600,000 per month, with the average salary around PKR 200,000. Compensation is based on role, experience, skill level, and contribution — and is reviewed regularly. Senior engineers, AI specialists, and tech leads sit at the higher end of the range, while junior and entry-level roles start at the lower end with clear progression paths.
What information should I prepare for the first call?
It means AI is embedded at every stage of the product lifecycle — not added as a feature at the end. At ZAPTA, we use AI tools in requirements engineering (30–60% effort saved), design, implementation, QA, deployment, and post-launch operations. The result is faster delivery, higher code quality, and products that are architecturally ready for intelligent features from day one.
What if I'm not sure exactly what I need?
That’s normal — and it’s exactly what discovery workshops are designed for. We run structured 1- to 2-week discovery engagements that translate vague ambitions into a concrete scope, technical approach, and roadmap. Many of our most successful projects start as discovery engagements.
Do you work with non-technical founders?
Absolutely. Many of our clients are non-technical founders, operators, or business leaders. We translate technical decisions into plain language, recommend the right tradeoffs, and act as your technology partner — not as a vendor expecting you to spec everything yourself.
Do you have a minimum engagement size?
We typically work on projects with a minimum scope of around two weeks of senior team work — which keeps us focused and ensures meaningful outcomes for both sides. For smaller asks (advisory calls, code reviews, second opinions), we offer ad-hoc consultations on an hourly basis.
How do I contact ZAPTA?
Email contact@zaptatech.com, visit zaptatech.com/contact, or message us via the chat widget on our website. We respond to every legitimate inquiry within 24 hours, often much faster during business hours.
